ArcadeFinder should be usable by everyone, including people who navigate with a keyboard, a screen reader, or with motion or contrast preferences set. We're working toward that and treat accessibility as ongoing, not finished.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. We're not claiming full conformance yet — this is an active effort on a community-run site — but it's the standard we build against.

What's in place

  • A "Skip to content" link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
  • A visible focus outline on links, buttons, and form fields when navigating by keyboard.
  • Labelled form fields and descriptive alternative text on meaningful images.
  • Reduced-motion support: if your device asks apps to minimise motion, animations (including the flashing unread-messages cue) are turned down.
  • A responsive layout that works at a range of screen sizes and zoom levels.

Known limitations

The interactive map is inherently visual. Where the map is the main way to find something, the same places are also reachable through the Spaces and Games lists, which are fully text-based. Some community-contributed photos may lack detailed descriptions. We're improving these over time.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of ArcadeFinder is hard to use with your assistive technology, please let us know — describe the page and what got in your way, and we'll prioritise a fix. Your report helps us find gaps our own testing misses.
